Solidarity Marathon
This Marathon is a solidarity sporting event that the '' Filhos de São Tomé e Príncipe '' Foundation has together with the REAL MADRID FOUNDATION in São Tomé e Príncipe, in order to promote sports practice in the country in collaboration with the Athletics Federation and Ministry of Sport.
About São Tomé
São Tomé, city and capital of Sao Tome and Principe. It is on the northeastern coast of the island of São Tomé, situated on the Equator in the Gulf of Guinea.

Race start:
The Marathon starts at 06:30am from São João dos Angolares. The Half Marathon starts from Ribeira Afonso and 10Km from Santana.
Bib Pick-up
Saturday 3. - CONFIRMATION and ID’s REQUIRED at Packet Pickup. Runners who do not collect their race packs will not be refunded whatever the reason. If you are unable to collect your race pack a third person can collect it on your behalf with a printed letter of authorisation (including both individual's ID numbers). THERE WILL BE NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION OR PACKET PICK UP.
Water points
Participants will have water and isotonic beverages at every 2.5K.
Medical service every 5K and Finish.
Gear Check
There is a free gear location between the start and finish lines. You can leave a bag and take it back after the race, by presenting your bib number. Please don’t leave valuable or irreplaceable items in your bag, and avoid bringing items that may easily fall out of your bag. The São Tomé Marathon Organisation will be not responsible for lost or missing items.

The event
- 1Cancellations
Each entry is considered as non transferable and final and implies full acceptance of the rules. There will be no refunds or transfers (giving your entry to another person), no exceptions (even if the race is cancelled in the event of bad weather or circumstances beyond our control). - 2Conditions to participate
The Marathon, Half Marathon and 10Km are a races open to every participant with 18 y.o. by June 26, 2022.
The participants will ASSUME ALL OF THE RISKS and aspects of an Event and they understand that running, walking and other portions of a running event are inherently dangerous. Every participant is responsible and will run under his own risk.
The registration is strict personal and intransmissible. It will not be able to modify the date of birth nor to give the bib to another competitor or to fold it, under risk to be disqualified - 3Medical assistance.
Medical assistance will be available at the start, en route and at the finish. It is imperative that runners complete their correct medical information on their entry. Should you require hospital treatment, you will be charged according to the hospital tariff rate.
