The answers below are based on the currently published race information and official regulations. Details not yet confirmed are clearly identified.

Event

When will the event take place?+

The event will take place on Sunday, 15 November 2026.

Which distances are available?+

There are three formats: Half Marathon 21 km, 10 km Race and 4 km Mini Race/Walk.

Where do the races start and finish?+

The Half Marathon and 4 km start at Largo de São Francisco in Faro.

The 10 km starts on Avenida 5 de Outubro, near Mercado de Olhão.

All events finish at the Faro Athletics Track.

Registration

Where can I register?+

Online registration is available through the official Njuko platform.

Open registration

Is there a minimum age?+

Participants in the Half Marathon and 10 km Race must be over 18 years old.

Can I change my registration details?+

Changes may be requested until 5 November by contacting geral@xistarca.pt.

Changes made during bib-collection days cost €5. No changes are accepted on race day.

Are last-minute registrations possible?+

They may be accepted during bib-collection days and times, subject to remaining availability.

Race Expo

When can I collect my participant kit?+

Thursday 12 November: 15:00-20:00.

Friday 13 November: 10:00-20:00.

Saturday 14 November: 10:00-18:00.

Can I collect my kit on race day?+

No. Participant kits will not be available for collection on Sunday 15 November.

What do I need to bring?+

Bring your identification document, bib number and proof of registration received by email.

Can someone collect my kit for me?+

Yes, provided they present the required identification and bib/registration information.

Where will the Race Expo take place?+

The exact venue has not yet been confirmed.

Race day

What time do the races start?+

Half Marathon: 09:30.

10 km Race: 09:30.

4 km Mini Race/Walk: 09:35.

Is there a time limit?+

The maximum event duration is 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Will there be refreshment stations?+

The Half Marathon has three intermediate liquid stations and liquid/solid refreshments at the finish.

The 10 km has one intermediate liquid station and liquid/solid refreshments at the finish.

The 4 km has liquid/solid refreshments at the finish.

Which races use timing chips?+

The Half Marathon and 10 km use timing chips. The 4 km event does not.

Can I run with a bicycle, skates or an animal?+

No. Bicycles, skateboards, roller skates and animals are not permitted alongside participants.

Results & awards

Will all finishers receive a medal?+

Yes. All participants who cross the finish line are entitled to a finisher medal.

Where will results be published?+

Official classifications will be available after the event through the Results section and the Xistarca platform.

Will participation certificates be available?+

Yes. Finishers will be able to download their participation certificate after the event.

Who receives trophies?+

The first three female and male finishers in the Overall and Age Category classifications for the 21 km and 10 km events receive trophies.

Hotel & travel

Are official partner hotels available?+

Not yet. Official hotel agreements and runner rates are still being prepared.

Should I stay in Faro or Olhão?+

Faro is the most convenient base for the Half Marathon, 4 km and shared finish area.

Olhão may be more convenient for the 10 km start.

How can I receive hotel information later?+

You can contact info@runningportugal.com and request to be informed when official partner offers become available.
