Is water available on the course?
Yes, water stations are located approximately every 5Km along the Thessaloniki Marathon course. Any other drinks are yet to be confirmed.

Is there a course time limit?
The Thessaloniki Marathon has a 6:00 hour time limit, and the course will reopen to traffic once the marathoners doing a 6:00 pace have passed.

Is the course closed to traffic?
No, runner’s lanes will be separated from traffic lanes by cones—please stay inside the cones at all times. To ensure your safety, volunteers and police officers will monitor the course.

What if I need to quit part way through the race?
If you feel that you will be unable to complete the marathon and need to drop out, move to the right side of the road and look for a course volunteer for assistance.

Are there any items that aren't allowed on the course?
For the safety of all Thessaloniki Marathon participants, no pets or wheeled conveyances including bikes, strollers, baby joggers or in-line skates are permitted on the course. As it’s not a closed course, and so you can hear directions given by race officials, please do not wear headphones during the race.
